The Opportunity
The dedicated Liquidity Strategy Analyst Senior develops, implements and monitors liquidity management strategies and ensures compliant collateral management (secured borrowing) programs across USAA’s diverse businesses utilizing broad enterprise knowledge and expert knowledge of the financial services industry, regulatory requirements, rating agency requirements, data quality, risk management and financial planning. Executes complex liquidity and financial initiatives and directs cross-functional teams in the implementation of business solutions that ensure USAA's ongoing financial strength. Communicates liquidity analysis and reporting to governance committees, senior management, regulatory bodies and the USAA Board of Directors.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in the following locations: San Antonio TX, Plano TX or Charlotte NC

What you'll do:
- Conducts complex balance sheet analysis integrating capital, liquidity, cash and investment strategies. Makes recommendations to leadership on analysis.
- Develops complex analytical strategies, tools and methodologies to model, measure, monitor and assess liquidity adequacy across the enterprise including insurance, investment and banking subsidiaries.
- Independently assesses and communicates complex regulatory liquidity rules.
- Responsible for efficient deployment of capital and liquidity across the enterprise, including insurance, investment and banking lines of business, to meet multiple regulatory, rating agency and internal management objectives.
- Responsible for efficient management of cash positions for the enterprise, insurance, investment and banking lines of business.
- Advises key stakeholders on liquidity management issues according to industry best practices.
- Evaluates analysis and provides recommendations to governance committees if a risk tolerance is exceeded.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 6 years of related experience in Finance, Risk Management, Treasury, Capital and Liquidity Management and/or Accounting.
- Subject matter expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel.
- Proven ability to effectively influence and build cross-functional relationships with employees of various levels throughout the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and present executive-level presentations.
- Ability to effectively work with both internal and external partners.
What sets you apart:
- Proven experience in data analysis, including proficiency in SQL or other coding languages.
- Experience with retail banking products, services, and operations.
- Experience in developing and implementing data quality control processes.
- Experience with secured borrowing programs.
- Experience in Liquidity Management within the financial services industry
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation
- Master’s degree in business, Finance, Mathematics, or other related field
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $114,080 - $218,030

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
