The Opportunity
As a dedicated Financial Regulatory Reporting Senior, you will serve as a key contributor in the preparation, review, and analysis of reports submitted to regulatory agencies, including the FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FR Y-11, FR 2314, and FFIEC 009/009A. You will be responsible for preparing highly technical components of the reports and/or schedules and conducting detailed reviews of reports and/or schedules prepared by other members of the team. You will also develop and maintain procedure documentation, assist in projects to automate and increase efficiencies, and support data and control testing. As a member of the Holding Company & Subsidiary Regulatory Reporting team within the Chief Accounting Office (CAO), you will support the research, implementation, and documentation of change initiatives resulting from updates to accounting requirements, regulatory requirements, product offerings, systems, and organizational structure.

This position can be based in one of the following USAA office locations: Charlotte, NC, San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, or Tampa, FL.

What you'll do:
- Prepare, review, and analyze regulatory reports and schedules, including FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FR Y-11, FR 2314, FFIEC 009/009A, and other regulatory filings.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely regulatory reporting through effective review, validation, and control procedures.
- Research, interpret, and apply regulatory reporting requirements, accounting guidance, and reporting instructions.
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Legal, and business functions to obtain and validate reporting data.
- Support regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries by providing documentation, analysis, and reporting support.
- Develop and maintain procedures, technical documentation, and reporting methodologies.
- Evaluate and implement changes resulting from new regulatory requirements, accounting standards, systems, products, and organizational changes.
- Identify and drive automation and process improvement opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and controls.
- Perform data, control, and process testing to support a strong regulatory reporting framework.
- Serve as a trusted resource on regulatory reporting matters and provide guidance to team members.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree required; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 6 years of experience preparing and delivering financial statements and regulatory reports within the financial services industry, a bank holding company, or a similar regulated organization.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
- 4 years of experience researching, interpreting, and applying accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
What sets you apart:
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and/or filing FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FR Y-11, FR 2314, FFIEC 009/009A, or similar Federal Reserve regulatory reports.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Strong knowledge of Federal Reserve regulatory reporting requirements, reporting instructions, and applicable banking regulations.
- Experience using regulatory reporting platforms and data management tools (e.g., Axiom).
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting within a bank holding company, large financial institution, or other highly regulated environment.
- Experience researching, interpreting, and implementing changes related to regulatory reporting requirements, accounting standards, or reporting instructions.
- Experience developing and maintaining regulatory reporting controls, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Demonstrated success identifying and implementing process improvements, automation solutions, and reporting efficiencies.
- Experience using financial management and general ledger systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud GL).
- Experience collaborating with internal and external auditors, regulators, and cross-functional business partners to support examinations, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93,770.00 to $179,240.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
